Project Funding

Implementation for this long term project started in October 2009, with the aid of a 4-year matching grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Technological Innovation and Cooperation for Foreign Information Access" (TICFIA program, authorized under Title VI of the Higher Education Act Section 606, Part A), awarded to the American Institute for Yemeni Studies, acting as lead institution in the project on behalf of itself and all other participating CAORC member centers and affiliated institutions. Other TICFIA-funded projects can be found here.

Due to changes within the funding agency, the grant came to a close in 2010 with a no-cost extension until December 31, 2012. The CDIRM project continued to create and post digital materials throughout the extension period.

CAORC, its participating member centers, and third parties are providing a match for the TICFIA grant in cash and in kind.
