American Center for Mongolian Studies

The American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS) research library was established just after the ACMS opened its permanent office in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in the spring of 2004. It was intended to act as a central library of academic information and materials for scholars conducting research or study related to the Inner Asian region, as well as serve as a model library for local institutions and other small international research centers.

The library contains over 3,500 volumes related to Mongolia and disciplines active in the Inner Asian region such as anthropology, economics, biology, archeology, climatology, political science, literature, and many more. The collection is one of the best in the country with works spanning the late 19th century to the present day in English, Mongolian Cyrillic, Mongol Script, Russian, and several other languages.

The library is open to the public Monday-Friday from 9am to 6pm, except for Mongolian and US holidays.
